Questions, answered.
How Kalop works, what it supports, and what you get. The questions event teams ask us most.
Do attendees need to download an app?+
No. Attendees scan a QR code and captions open in their phone browser. There is no app to install, no account to create, and no special hardware to hand out.
How do people choose their language?+
After scanning the QR code, attendees open a simple browser page. For one-language captioning, they can start reading right away. For translated events, they can choose the language they want to follow.
How many languages does Kalop support?+
Kalop can be used for same-language captions as well as multilingual events. Translation coverage depends on the event format and pilot setup, so tell us which languages you need and we will confirm what is available.
How fast are the captions, and are they real time?+
Kalop is designed for live captioning, but exact latency depends on the room, audio setup, whether translation is needed, language pair, and event workflow. We will be clear about expected performance before any pilot.
What kinds of events is Kalop built for?+
Kalop is focused on live events where attendees need clearer access to spoken content, whether that means same-language captions or translated captions. That includes conferences, services, meetings, trainings, and community events.
Can captions be delivered to screens, audio, and broadcast feeds?+
The initial product is centered on QR-accessible captions in the browser, with translation available depending on the pilot setup. If you need screens, audio, broadcast, or another delivery format, tell us about the event and we can discuss what is possible.
Do you use human interpreters or AI?+
Kalop uses AI-assisted captioning workflows, with the right setup depending on the event and language needs. For higher-stakes events, we can talk through review, staffing, and quality expectations before the pilot.
What do we receive after the event?+
Post-event materials depend on the pilot setup. If transcripts, archives, or cleaned captions matter for your event, mention that when you reach out and we will scope it clearly.
How much does Kalop cost?+
Pricing depends on your event, language needs, and setup. Join early access or book a call and we will put together a pilot plan that fits the event.
Is it secure and compliant?+
We take privacy and event confidentiality seriously. Specific security, compliance, and data-handling requirements are reviewed case by case before a pilot or deployment.
